Basically, it’s just easier to grab things in and out on the go. Think of it as an easy access portal to your snacks, spare layers, packed lunch etc.. External end pockets give you somewhere to stuff your stuff in a rush, and the white floating liner keeps your bits visible, with internal drop pockets to make you feel like you know where your wallet might be. Bungee straps on the front allow for the swift stashing of a spare layer, and you can clip a front light to the webbing if your bars are all full of bag. It’s all supported by a solid plastic insert to hold the shape.
